Welcome to SCDAC

Southern California Deaf Angling Club was founded in 1973 by late Jim Revell.  The club is over fifty years old and still going on strong.  The main purpose of the club to promote and educate Deaf and hard of hearing people in angling, also known as fishing.  The key to a fulfilling angling experience lies in adapting communication methods and ensuring that everyone involved can participate and enjoy the activity. That is, hosting open party and private charter trips geared for people who use American Sign Language. as well as socializing to exchange fish stories among members.

The club hosts a trip for children, both Deaf and CODA every year or so and the club usually partners with Friends of Rollo.

The club maintains records for largest fish catch for any species within California.  It can be marlin, blue/yellow fin tuna, albacore, wahoo and rock cod and even bass and trout.

The club is managed by elected board of Deaf anglers.

Please join the club for annual fee of $15 for single or $25 for couple.
